We obtain our "orphans" from the lonely streets of Rogers County. Many are abandoned or possibly lost with no identification to the whereabouts of their owners. SCARS Humane Society does not have a shelter and we rely totally on foster homes. When we accept an animal into our adoption pool, we immediately spend more money on the animal than the adoption fee. They are updated on vaccinations, heartworm tested (or feline leukemia tested if a cat), spayed or neutered if old enough and de-wormed.
